Okay, I know that my blogging has really been lacking lately, considering my last post was in June. It's just that we've had quite the busy summer. Over the next week, I'm hoping to get caught up on all of our Summer fun, including our 1st anniversary! But before I sit down and really map out our last two months, I thought I'd share my recent reading list.
With Summer reading in full swing, I have been asking everyone I talk to for book recommendations. And I have been doing plenty of recommending myself, because the second I finish a good book, I just want to tell everyone about it! The problem is....I always give way too much of the plot away in what I think is a "simple" description of the book. So I'm only gonna share my list and my favorites:
Great House by Nicole Krauss
Wicked by Gregory Maguire
The Thorn Birds by Colleen Mccullough (an old classic)
Room by Emma Donoghue (this was one of my favorites because the writing style is so unique)
The Paris Wife by Paula Mclain
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen (an absolute must read)
Half Broke Horses by Jeanette Walls
In the Woods by Tana French
Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay (really enjoyed it)
Still Alice by Lisa Genova (amazing read, but also sad...deals with early onset Alzheimer's)
One Thousand White Women by Jim Fergus (another good one)
Wench by Dolen Perkinds-Valdez (enjoyed this one too)
Now if only someone could tell me how to share books from Kindle to Kindle because my amazon bill is getting up there on books alone! Happy reading!
